This is the first prototype of my new promodel, The NoCopy Powder Rocker 177- Signature Model Daniel Furberg. It was presented at ISPO two weeks ago. And hopefully I get my hands on it soon. Still haven´t tried it. I have gotten full freedom for shape, flex and design and everything. So I´m superexcited! Check out www.nocopy.se for more info on the brand.

Riding with Jamie Pierre
These last days I have been riding a bit with Jamie Pierre and photographer Oskar Enander. For those who don´t know, Jamie holds the world record in jumping the highest cliff, 77 meters.
Jamie is probing the landing of a little jump. 20-30 centimeters of powder on crust. Looking good...
Then he goes up to hit it. But even Jamie gets hesitative sometimes. He goes down to probe the landing again and I go for some riding.
Well as you maybe know, Jamie doesn´t stomp all his landings. And as you can see I don´t either, even though I jump much smaller cliffs.
The next big thing is leather pants...
3rd in the Freeride World Tour Qualifier in Fieberbrunn
I have been doing a few competitions lately on the Freeride World Qualifier Tour, with the goal set on making it back to the Freeride World Tour. I started out pretty well in Flaine, France, where I took a fourth place. The riding went well, but I was upset with myself for choosing a line that was little bit too easy.
After that we headed straight to Engadin (see www.engadinsnow.com for more info).
And the feeling proved to be right.
After that we headed straight to Engadin (see www.engadinsnow.com for more info).
As you can see it was a pretty rocky ride in Engadin (the line I did is marked with red). My run was going really well until I jumped the cliff in the middle of the run and rolled forward. Ended up with a disappointing 10th place.
After Engadin I managed to make it back to Engelberg and ride for one day. Christian Björk came over from Andermatt and we hooked up with Magnus Loo and Adam Widen and had a super fun day of riding. The next day I left for Fieberbrunn with Wille Lindberg and Jana Lindquist, and I was having a good feeling after a really good day of riding.
And the feeling proved to be right.
I´m the happy guy in the yellow suit. 3rd place!
Cruising down the mountain in Fieberbrunn 1

The start of the run
Wille Lindberg was riding solidly and took a fifth place.
The women had a FWT event. Janette Hargin took second and Ane Enderud first. Scandinavian dominance! Check out www.bigmountain-fieberbrunn.at for more info.
Right now I am on a 7th place on the Freeride World Qualifier Tour (19th on the Freeride World Ranking). The three best make it to next years FWT, but two of the riders ahead of me are already riding the FWT. So I need to climb two positions to make the FWT. If I make the podium in Nendaz 12-17 march I have a good chance! So stay tuned!

The First Few Weeks of the Season
I have now been in Engelberg for a few weeks and it is great to be back on the board. The last week the conditions have been epic. I have been working a bit with photographer Fredrik Schenholm (www.schenholm.se), and have gotten some really nice photos. Hopefully you will see them published later this winter.

This was before the sun broke through and we got some really nice photos.
I have done most my riding this winter with my roomate Tommy Nordbö, a character worth some attention. He is definately the most ambitious ski bum in Engelberg. No matter the weather or the snow conditions, Tommy rides his snowboard from eight to five every day. When other people go to the after ski, Tommy opens his mathematics books, as he is a full time mathematic student. A timid guy who lets his riding talk. The other day, me and Tommy were riding with Sverre Liliequist and Johan Jonsson. As usual Tommy had to wait for us others at the bottom of every run.
My riding is starting to fell pretty good. In the beginning of february the competition season kicks off. Hopefully I will be able to regain a spot on the Freeride World Tour.

Highwayman
It was a long, cold and lonely drive from Stavanger to Engelberg.
The ferry from Stavanger, Norway to Hirthals Denmark was overbooked. So I had to put my car on an empty car trailer. Quite a creative solution.
Highwayman. It was long drive on the european highways. As you can see on the speedometer, I am a very calm and responsible driver.
For such a long drive you need some quality food.
I made to my winter home, Engelberg, safely.
